Exclusive 2+6 RAID Array Mode

The D8 Hybrid raid enclosure implements TERRAMASTER's Exclusive 2+6 RAID array mode. By utilizing two SATA HDDs/SSDs in tray 1 and 2, users can configure RAID 0, RAID 1, JBOD, or Single Disk, and use the two SATA HDDs/SSDs as Single Disk in tray 3 and 4, catering to diverse cold data storage requirements across various applications. Additionally, the three NVMe M.2 SSD slots exclusively support single-disk mode, making them ideal for storing frequently accessed hot data, ensuring rapid transfer speeds.

10Gbps High-Speed Bandwidth

Equipped with the USB3.2 Gen2 protocol, the D8 Hybrid NVMe enclosure delivers exceptional data transfer rates of up to 10Gbps. With M.2 NVMe SSDs, read speeds soar up to 980MB/s, while SATA SSDs achieve up to 960MB/s (tested by dedicated NAS SSD 1 TB x2, in RAID 0). Even with HDDs, the D8 Hybrid SSD enclosure maintains impressive speeds, reaching 521MB/s (tested by dedicated NAS HDD 8TB x2 in RAID 0).

TERRAMASTER’s complimentary TPC Backupper simplifies Windows PC backups. Users can Schedule folder or disk partition backups to TERRAMASTER USB HDD storage or NAS servers effortlessly. Just connect, install, and set up your backup task. TPC Backupper supports both incremental and differential backup strategies and is compatible with Windows 8/8.1/10/11.

Effortless Disk Replacement and M.2 SSD Installation

The D8 Hybrid hard drive enclosure simplifies the process of hard disk replacement with its tool-free tray, eliminating the need for additional tools. Featuring TERRAMASTER's Push-Lock design, it ensures secure insertion, preventing disconnection or offline issues. For M.2 SSDs, the D8 Hybrid's chassis is equipped with a convenient side sliding cover and hand-tightened screws, enabling quick SSD installation in just 5 seconds. The D8 Hybrid is also a super quiet HDD USB enclosure. Besides incorporating additional shock-absorbing measures, TERRAMASTER’s engineers have designed numerous special sound-absorbing panels in the new structure to minimize noise. Testing has shown that the new structure which the D8 Hybrid adopts achieves noise levels 50% lower than the previous generation’s, with a noise level in standby mode of only 21dB(A)!
